As destination weddings are becoming big business, many hotels are installing ‘webcams’ specially catering to the ‘wedding’ crowd. I would start by checking to see if this service is available.
The invitation wording should read something like
You are cordially invited to a Reception celebrating the recent nuptials of John and Jane Doe
Date:
Place:
Time:
RSVP:
To make the reception feel more like a Wedding reception have a DVD of your wedding playing on a TV screen and perhaps wear your wedding dress.
As far as a bridal shower goes there is no rule against it, however don’t get upset if some people decline. I wouldn’t care as long as I was being invited to your Reception.
Congratulations

You’d send out announcements. Look at Invitations by Dawn and Verse It for some suggestions of wording.

The rule about bridal showers is you can only invite to the shower those that are invited to the wedding. Now as it’s a destination wedding in Bermuda, you could invite more people knowing that they will be unable to attend. Then you can invite them to the shower. OR you send out an announcement after the fact and some of them will send you a gift for the wedding. But you can’t invite someone to a shower if you aren’t inviting them to the wedding.
