I went to an ocean theme wedding. The favors were clear candles that has tiny shells and sand inside of it. really pretty and creative.

My best friend had a beach themed wedding. For their favors they had those drink cozy things printed up with their names and wedding date on it. They were teal because that was their wedding color.I’ve found that most people don’t keep favors from weddings.From my own wedding I found out that favors have more significance to the wedding couple than the guests.My fiance and I spent alot of time coming up with unique favor that were special to us and half the people didn’t even take them.Not out of disrespect…just because it’s not as significant to them. My friend had the right idea….it was unique and fun. Not too expensive. And whoever keeps them will think of the couple every summer when they need a cold drink.

I was just at a wedding where they put tulip bulbs in (looks like take out chinese contaniner) the small ones and they put 3 tulip bulbs in them so we could plant them and they will come back every year. it was tied with the bride and grooms names and date

Unfortunately, most favors aren’t even taken home. It would be sad for you to take the time to choose favors then for the vast majority of them to be left on the tables. This is why many choose to have chocolates as favors. So, here are a mix of favors to be inspired by (some edible and some keepsake favors).

I think a lot f people just throw wedding favors in a bid to never be looked at again. I would suggest to you to make donation to your favorite charity in your guest’s honor.

my cousin did this for the cancer society, and i have told a few other people on yahoo answers this and a lot of people actually told me they would listen to me and not give favors but make a nice contribution.

Stick with something they will eat. They will remember you because they love you, not because of some trinket they take home from your wedding.

If you really want to give something non-food, give something practical that they will see your name when they use it or think of what a cool idea it was to hand them out. I can’t think of anything that fits in an ocean-themed wedding other than fish-hooks but that’s a crummy idea because lots of people never fish.

Don’t give away live animals (i.e. fish). These are living breathing creatures, not gimmicks.

Candy, cookies, candy apples, nuts or mints, etc. Something edible.

Guests don’t usually want a keepsake. They get thrown in junk drawers and they’re a waste of money. People will remember your wedding if you serve good food and drinks, have decent entertainment, show that you’re enjoying yourself and if you’re gracious and thank them for being there to celebrate with you.

Pet goldfish! They are cheap and cute and easy to take care of and hard to kill off compared to other fish . . .

Or your centerpieces could be fishbowls with actual fish in them. That would be cute.

My friend had little coin purses as favours for the girls at her wedding in March in nice autumn colours to match the season and also a fortune cookie to go with it.

You could make or buy cheap shell shaped frames or shell decorated frames. Inside the frame you could put a copy of the invite, picture of the ocean or a favorite quote you have. You could also just have a nice frame with an ocean picture in it too, and you could write a nice message on the back or engrave the front with something too.
